My local tackle shop Eccleston angling closed down last year becoming a victim of 3 poor summers and the recesssion. Trafford angling took it over last month and it is very impressive. Also Leigh bait and tackle have opened up a completely new business in Chain Lane. I took a look around and it is also well stocked. So we now have 4 tackle shops within 2 miles of my front door. One is a pet shop selling a limited stock of tackle and bait the 2 new ones which are specialist tackle shops and a specialist Carp angling shop about 200 yards from my front door so its good news for me. I hope they all survive.

Its great to hear that Ian, nice to see a few new tackle shops opening esp when there is so much competition from the web based companies.
